Actress Gail O'Grady Finds Time for Poker

A lot of people probably recognize female celebrity Gail O'Grady as the television actress who starred in the television drama series "NYPD Blue." But "NYPD Blue" was not her first television appearance.

It was in a television commercial where the public first saw Gail O'Grady. In 1987, she was featured in a commercial for Diet Pepsi entitled "Apartment 10G." Her partner in that commercial was actor Michael J. Fox. Such commercial was considered by the journal "TV Guide" as one of the greatest television commercials of all time in 1999.

It was also in 1987 when she appeared in a movie-made-for-television about a werewolf. From then on, several television shows were done by Gail O'Grady, including "American Dreams," "China Beach," "Hot Properties," and "NYPD Blue." She also started to guest in such television programs as "Two and a Half Men," "Matlock," "Murder She Wrote," "Designing Women," "Hidden Palms," and "Cheers."

Gail O'Grady also found success in making movies-made-for-television. Among the films she did were "Lip Service," "Sex & the Single Mom," "Another Woman's Husband," and "The Three Lives of Karen."

She is currently one of the cast members of the television show "Boston Legal."

Gail O'Grady may have found success in the entertainment industry, but her personal life is not as successful as her acting career. Having experienced being married and divorced four times, and having experienced a controversial breakup with her boyfriend, Robert Claypool, it does not seem like her personal life is even close to the success she experiences in show business. But despite the problems she has been going through as far as her personal life is concerned, she just seems to forget everything every time she looks at her son Michael Colton, who was born in 2004.

And aside from her son, another thing that keeps Gail O'Grady sane is her passion for playing poker. This female celebrity poker player may have forgotten when she really started playing such casino game, but her poker skills have definitely improved over the years. But it was only when this female celebrity poker player participated in the third tournament of the television game show "Celebrity Poker Showdown" that she impressed her fellow celebrity poker players and the audience with her style in playing poker. This female celebrity poker player did not emerge victorious in the game, but she surely had a lot of fun competing against other celebrities. Such loss does not stop this female celebrity poker player from playing the game she has learned to love.
